Summer!

Summer has arrived! We've had a busy end of the year here at Cologne Academy, and what a year it's been. I'm sure you and your students are excited by the warm weather, and sunny skies. It's time for a well-earned break!

I'm sad to see the 8th graders go. They will be missed by me, and everyone here at CA. Good luck to you all in high school!

I look forward to seeing the 6th and 7th graders again next year. I've had so much fun in class with them (and I hope they've enjoyed it as well). Thank you to everyone who's helped out at school this year. (Students and parents) You all helped make this year a great success.

It's been an exciting year. All good things must come to an end, and all great work deserves a reward. Summer is that reward!

Enjoy your summer everyone! I look forward to seeing you next year.

We talked about the common spelling phrase: "I before E except after C, or when sounding like A as in Neighbor and Weigh, unless the word is Weird." This is a great rule that teaches both the common spelling rule, and a way to notice some exceptions to the rule.
